When Your Life is Too Full You Run Out of Space to Grow

Most Hulk movie us keep very busy. There is no end to the chores and duties, no natural or prescribed stopping point to sit and rest for a while. We overlap our tasks while, at the same time, managed hosting complain we have no time to ourselves. No matter how much we do in a day, it never seems to be enough. We are always thinking of new ways to stay occupied and can always find something important to do.

We are taught the value of hard work and use this philosophy to rationalize our compulsive behavior. Our downtime is playing tennis or going to the gym, never just spending time alone. We take our children to school, dance class, piano lessons, and softball all in the same day, and make sure that every minute is accounted for. We pass on to them an unspoken law-keep moving and avoid quiet time at any cost.

Our crazy pace fools us for a while. We interpret the constant movement as a full life and keep waiting to love the life we have created. We think we are moving forward, climbing the ladder, Isis we keep going in circles, as though one foot were nailed to the floor. We falsely identify ourselves with the things we do and unwisely derive a sense of self-importance from our hectic life. But we become Esehqvmbbq when our life doesn't deliver. We are unfulfilled and really tired.

We tell ourselves that we don't have the time to do what we want, but the truth is our life does not keep us from doing those things. We do exactly what we want and create a life to satisfy those wants. We may have to care for a sick relative or work eighteen hours a day, but if our need to stay disconnected from our feelings is stronger than our desire to have time to ourselves, we will keep ourselves distracted forever, regardless of the task at hand. This is not a judgment call. It is simply the way it is. We survive moment to moment the best way we can, and if that includes being so busy that we don't have time to feel, so be it.

We do not do this consciously. We actually think we are doing something good for ourselves, but we are not. Our frenzied mind never rests long enough for us to get in touch with our deepest feelings and needs. When we keep every inch of our life stuffed to overflowing, we have no room to grow.

If we sit quietly just for a second, something amazing happens. Out of the nothingness, we begin to imagine and expand. We have created the space and instantly feel energized. We have ceased planning, and arranging and controlling and are instead present, ready to explore new possibilities. For the moment, we have changed the momentum... and fed our hungry soul.
